So I have to say, this week I'm finding physical distancing a little more difficult than I have up to this point. Overall, I'd say I thrive a bit when I can work from home and set my own schedule. Up until this week, I'd say I've had more active days than usual, cooked more meals, saved more money, accomplished more work and eaten healthier. I've had ups and downs and have been sad about missing family but it's been fairly easy for me to keep things in perspective. This week though, with the crappy weather keeping me mostly indoors,a bit of virtual concert fatigue and just overall feelings, the gravity of the situation is kind of hitting me. I want to hug my nephews and niece. I want to celebrate my friends' birthdays in person. I want to experience live music. I'm sure you guys are feeling it too and I hope this doesn't come across as whining but instead, as relatable. Just know whatever boat you're in, you aren't alone. If you need to, please reach out.
Anyways, all that to say that I'm sick of feeling blah and after a week of a slower pace I'm craving music that will make me feel peppy. Hence...this playlist. It makes me happy, it makes me dance and it reminds me better days are ahead (not because of the lyrics or anything, more because I can picture myself on a patio with a beer in hand). You'll also notice The Band showing up in my playlists over the next few weeks and that's because I'm working on an exciting project with The Band Podcast who you guys should all go check out.
KK enjoy!
Peace, love & history.
